In a statement today, by the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, communication unit, today it stated that after weeks of excited anticipation for Young Scientists and Nobel Laureates alike, everybody finally got together in Lindau’s Inselhalle – the main venue for the Meeting.

The Opening Ceremony featured greetings from high-class guests including Nobel Laureates Donna Strickland and Steven Chu. Afterwards, the reception presented the first opportunity for Young Scientists to mingle with the Laureates. The day concluded with a dinner, giving everybody the opportunity to wind down a bit after having travelled around half the world to get to Lindau.
